Calm walk observation

On a damp morning the trail smells louder than it looks. Dogs often slow down not from stubbornness but because the ground is busy with yesterday’s rain. If your arm is tired before your dog’s nose has had thirty seconds at one bush, the walk was probably too long—not too short.

Same room next week if life allows.

A small ritual to repeat

Pick a loop you already know. Decide one sniff stop that may last as long as a slow count to ten. When the count ends, move on without arguing—the point is permission, not perfection.
