The hallway scatter
You do not need a new room to start scent work. A hallway, a bathroom, or the path from the kitchen to the door can hold the whole game. Scatter five pieces where your dog can see them, let the nose finish, then pick up what is left so the floor goes boring again.
Small rooms still count as trails.

A small ritual to repeat
Use the same ten-foot path twice this week. Same time of day if you can. No cue on the first day—just let sniff time begin. On the second day, say your search word once before the scatter.
